El presente trabajo analiza las propuestas pedagógico-políticas del visitador de escuelas de la provincia de Tarapacá, Ramón López Pinto (1889-1907). Por medio de dicho registro se establece cómo los actores educativos locales denunciaron el bajo impacto y los problemas endémicos vividos en sus aulas, lo que permite cuestionar la tradicional relación de dependencia entre la agencia escolar fiscal y el proceso de la chilenización de la población tarapaque a. This work analyzes the pedagogical-political proposals of Ramón López Pinto (1889-1907), Inspector visiting the Schools of the Province of Tarapacá. Said registry leaves record of how the local educational players denounced the low impact of the classes as well as the endemic problems they evidenced, which permits questioning the traditional relation of dependence between the fiscal school agency and the process of chilenization of the population of Tarapacá.
