12. Is orthostatic hypotension in elderly a black box of nebulous disorders?

The aim of this review is to provide comprehensive information on the prevalence of orthostatic hypotension especially in elderly people, its diagnosis, treatment, various associated conditions and future research opportunities. All the relevant information on orthostatic hypotension was collected through MEDLINE/PUBMED. The evidence presented in this review has showed that estimating orthostatic hypotension among elderly persons is of paramount importance to avert morbidity and mortality associated with the problem of orthostatic hypotension. This is particularly important for the future health guards of older adults.
