Identidades en la música peruana del cambio de milenio. El caso de Circomper

After a crisis of several decades, Peruvian art music went into a period of changes around the 1990s, coinciding with the end of the civil war between the terrorist movement Sendero Luminoso and the army, and internationally, with the spreading of Internet and e-mail and the political changes brought by the falling of the Berlin Wall and the former Soviet Union. The new generation of composers which started public performances in these years was notably larger that theformer. Reflecting this, an important event was the foundation of the Circle of Composition of Peru, Circomper in 2001, which used the new technologies to promote the participation of Peruvian composers both in the country and abroad.
