The Use of decision science in mechanical engineering design

The integration of decision science into design techniquesin Engineering and Engineering Technology programs is necessary to provide graduating engineersthe necessary skills to become more immediatecontributors to the goals and profits of their chosen companies. Example teaching and analysis techniques are discussed, which will allow faculty to introduce and reinforce effective design into MechanicalEngineering courses. These techniques can be applied to other courses also.
