Development of sub-unit vaccine against Brucella melitensis biotype 2: A computational assayKeywords: Brucellosis , HLA DRB1 , Reverse vaccinology , Subunit vaccine , T-Cell epitopes , Undulant fever Abstract: Brucella melitensis is a gram negative coccobacillus bacterium and is one of the six species that causes Brucellosis, which causes fatal zoonotic disease that affects multiple body systems causing highly pathogenic human brucellosis and reproductive disease. As current Brucellosis treatment is relatively unsuccessful, development of effective vaccines became higher priority for prevention of irruptions of the disease. Herein, MHC class II epitopes were identified from pathogenic B.melitensis membrane proteins to suggest T-cell epitope driven B.melitensis subunit vaccines through reverse vaccinology.
