Tela e tinta no cinema de Jean-Pierre Jeunet

O cineasta francês Jean-Pierre Jeunet, diretor de filmes como O Fabuloso Destino de Amélie Poulain (Le fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain) e Eterno Amor (Un long dimanche de fian ailles) admitiu em entrevistas ter sido influenciado pela estética do pintor catarinense, radicado em Paris, Juarez Machado. Entretanto o cineasta n o aponta quais elementos visuais foram utilizados como inspira o para suas cenas. Esta disserta o tem como objetivo geral analisar quadros de Juarez Machado e filmes de Jean-Pierre Jeunet para apontar as características determinantes desta mencionada influência estética. Como objetivo específico o trabalho se prop e a exemplificar suas correla es e levantar características de movimentos artísticos que podem caber à ambas artes, cinema e pintura. O problema está em identificar as similaridades entre as obras. Em que pontos estas duas formas distintas de arte podem apresentar semelhan as e sob quais perspectivas ou nuances da dire o de arte os filmes interagem com as telas de Machado ou as tem como referência? Para levantar tais dados e tra ar os correlatos entre telas e filmes a disserta o utilizará pesquisa teórica bibliográfica entre telas do pintor e objeto. Como corpus de estudo ser o utilizadas telas de Juarez Machado e o filme de 2001, O Fabuloso Destino de Amélie Poulain (Le fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain). Este trabalho discorre sobre análise da imagem, intertextualidade e mídias, com aporte teórico em Gérard Genette e Gilles Deleuze. The French filmmaker Jean-Pierre Jeunet, director of films such as Amélie (Le Fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain) and A Very Long Engagement (Un long dimanche fian ailles) admitted in interviews to have been influenced by the aesthetics of the Brazilian, settled in Paris, painter Juarez Machado. But the filmmaker does not pinpoint where visual elements were used as inspiration for his scenes. This project aims at analyzing Juarez Machado paintings and films of Jean-Pierre Jeunet to point out the mentioned determinant features of this aesthetic influence. As its specific objective this paper propones to illustrate their correlation and to raise art movements’ characteristics that can fit both arts, film and painting. The problem lies in identifying the similarities between the works. At what points these two distinct forms of art can show similarities and under what perspectives or nuances of art direction the film interacts with Machado’s canvas?
