Evaluación de metales en suelos contaminados por derrames de crudo en Yaracal, estado Falcón, Venezuela

The content of Mn, Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Co, Zn, Fe and Mo in impacted soils with oil, from Yaracal, Falcon, were assessed. An acid digestion was carried out, and metals by atomic absorption spectrophotometry flame are determined. The removable organic matter by solvent is quantified using a Soxhlet extraction, for calculated petroleum total hydrocarbons (HTPs). The contents of Cr, Co, Fe and Ni were correlated with the HTPs. Cadmium, nickel and chromium detected in samples impacted with HTPs, exceeding the permissible according to Venezuelan Official Newspaper # 5245.
