Virtualization allows sharing and allocating the hardware resources to more virtual machines thus increasing their usage rate. Choosing the right virtualization solution largely depends on the used applications and their resources requirements. The comparative analysis of the available virtualization solutions shows that it is essential to establish performance criteria’s and minimum and maximum resources usage thresholds over a given period of time. The coexistence of different services in different virtual machines that use different amount of resources allows a more efficient use of the available hardware resources.
