Does Salary Work as a Motivational Agent? A Study of Airport (Ground Handling) Services Sector of Pakistan

This paper is an attempt to find out the relationship between salary and motivation level of employees working in airport (ground handling) services sector of Pakistan. Questionnaire was used as an instrument of data collection. A total of 200 questionnaires were distributed among employees working at BBI (Banazir Bhuto International) airport Islamabad out of which 171 were received back. According to results salary play a significant role in motivation level of employees but motivation is determined by a number of contributing variables and salary is one of them. Suggestions for future research are also discussed.
