Current Approaches in the Treatment of Prostatitis

Prostatitis is an infection or inflammation of the prostate gland that presents as several syndromes with varying clinical features. This painful condition mostly affects young and middle-aged men and diminishes their quality of life. With the recent introduction of a new classification for this disease, more effective approach for the evaluation and management of the patients with chronic pelvic pain syndrome has emerged.
