Educazione scolastica e pratiche di esclusione sociale: la prospettiva dei giovani migranti. Una ricerca nelle scuole superiori della Provincia di Modena Scholastic Education and social exclusion: The perspective of young migrants

L’educazione presuppone la distinzione tra comportamenti corretti o sbagliati, che diventa il riferimento di una distribuzione ineguale di rimproveri o elogi che ha effetti selettivi. Ogni azione selettiva è elemento di una costruzione autoportante che dà fiducia e credito, creando aspettative differenziate verso gli studenti che inevitabilmente ne condizionano il percorso educativo. A fronte di scuole ampia-mente multiculturali, si crede opportuno interrogarsi se, come ed in che misura la selezione educativa abbia specifiche conseguenze sul più ampio processo di integrazione sociale degli studenti migranti. Cercheremo di rispondere a questi interrogativi da una prospettiva bottom down, a partire dalle parole di studenti migranti che frequentano scuole medie di grado superiore nella città di Modena Education presupposes the distinction between correct and wrong behaviour which becomes the reference point for an unequal distribution of censure and praise which have selective effects. Each selective action is an element in a self-supporting construction which gives confidence and credit, creating differing expectations in students with inevitable effects on their educational progress. In the face of increasingly multicultural schools we believe it to be necessary to ask ourselves how and to what extent educational selection has on the wider process of the social integration of migrant students. We seek to respond to these questions through a bottom down perspective, starting out from the words of migrant students attending a middle school in Modena.
