Die Thesen von H ussermann und Siebel werden einerseits als zeitgeschichtliches Dokument aufgefasst, das die st dtischen Folgen der Krise des Fordismus reflektiert andererseits wird ihre Relevanz für eine kritische, gesellschaftstheoretisch fundierte Stadtsoziologie betont. On the one hand the theses of H ussermann and Siebel are seen as a historical document that reflects the consequences of the crisis of Fordism for cities, on the other hand the relevance for a critical urban sociology that is based on social theory is emphasized.
