Abstract: In this paper, we explore a new data miningcapability for a mobile commerce (M-Commerce) environment.As defined by market analysts, mobile commerce is the naturalextension of e-commerce that allows consumers to make businessvia a wireless mode anytime, anywhere and always on. It usesdigital cellular phones, PDAs, pagers, notebooks and even carscan already be online wirelessly, all this developing anotherchannel of the value-added chain. We are proposing a layeredarchitecture of M-Commerce and application. The increasingnumber of mobile device users is creating a huge amount ofuseful data for the providers. These data are valuable and canhelp a business with further developments and strategies ifturned into knowledge with the use of data mining. The mindfuluse of data mining allows organisations to increase customersatisfaction, to determine new consumer groups for marketingpurposes.
