Route Discovery Utilizing Power in AODV

Adhoc network is an infrastructure less network which is used mainly for the temporary setup of a network. It is called the infrastructure less network because there is no central infrastructure or authority which monitors or controls the ongoing activity in the network. Due to the lack of the central controller it is called the infrastructure less network. All the communication in the Adhoc network is done through the routing protocols. Routing protocols is the set of procedures or rules define for the routing purpose. There are many routing protocols available in Mobile Adhoc Network. There are many issues in Adhoc network such a efficient routing, congestion in the network, energy, mobility which reduces the overall utilization of the network. AODV is a reactive routing protocol. In a network when a node is utilized more from a source to destination then it ran out of energy. Due to lack of energy it will not further send the packet and route failure happens. We are proposing an extension to AODV which discovers the route considering the power of the node in the route so that the efficient path is chosen for the communication. To analyze the result we used the ns2 simulator.
