Profile of accidents with biological material occurred between health professionals in hospitals in Niterói – RJ – Brazil

Sectional study, exploratory and quantitative in order to learn the biological characteristics of accidents in the municipality of Niterói - RJ - Brazil. Will be held at a referral service for health professionals accident victim biological located in that district. The universe of study will include all monitoring reports of visits to these professionals in the period 2005-2008. Variables will be analyzed in relation to identifying personal and professional circumstances of the accident, vaccination status and serological survey. Association will be verified by testing the statistical program SPSS, version 15.0. The ethical aspects are respected according to resolution 196/96.
