Power Optimized Link State Routing

Wireless technology is one of the most emerging technologies today .It provides ease of use and mobility to the users. Ad hoc networks are the branch of the wireless technology which provides facility to communicate with the other systems without using any fixed infrastructure .Each node has to perform as sender, receiver as well as a relaying node which makes the system complex. Routing the data between the nodes is the most difficult part of the communication .Routing can be done by using the proactive as well as the reactive protocols. Various protocols of each type are available for routing the data. In this paper we are proposing a power optimized link state routing protocol. This protocol will enhance the selection procedure of the multipoint relays based on the power resource availability of the node. The proposed protocol will give better performance when compared to the optimized link state routing protocol. The simulation results are shown by using the ns-2 simulating environment.
