Observing the constant tension between materialism and messianism, the association between practice and political theory, and likewise the relationship among art, time and revelation, some of the deepest intellectual inclinations of Benjamin appear: the spiritual salvation and the oppresses’ emancipation. This article explores a selection of written texts by the hand of the mentioned author, trying to unravel a sense of the plausible history in the dispersion and hermetecism in his work.
