Energy Efficient Approach for Segmentation of Brain tumor Using Ant Colony Optimization

Tumor segmentation from MRI data is an important but time consuming task performed manually by medical experts. Image analysis is still performed manually which is often a difficult and time-consuming task. As a result, there is an increasing need for computerized image analysis to facilitate image based diagnosis. In this paper Ant colony Optimizaton algorithm has been used for tumor detection. To prolong the lifetime of the battery powered devices , energy required should be utilized efficiently. The other section of this paper discusses the energy efficiency of the algorithm with respect to transmission, execution time and energy cost.
