The IRUV Protocol: Intelligent Routing Protocol In Urban Environment For VanetKeywords: VANET , routing , Dijkstra , urban environment , Delivery Ratio , end to end delay Abstract: Future Intelligent Transportation Systemsrequire fast and reliable communication between cars(vehicle-to-vehicle V2V) or between a car and a roadside unit (vehicle-to-infrastructure). The fundamentalcomponent for the success of Vehicular Ad-hocNetworks (VANET) applications is routing. In this paper we propose a VANET routingprotocol that is especially designed for cityenvironments. This protocol is based on thelocalization of the node, the cost assigned to thesection and score for each vehicle. We present in thispaper a detailed description for the proposed protocolcompared to GyTAR protocols. Knowing that theGyTAR protocol is performing than the GSR and LARprotocols as demonstrated in [1]
