Infancia migrante y educación trasnacional en la frontera de México-Estados Unidos

La migración infantil, así como de la población en general, no es un hecho aislado en la actualidad. En este artículo queremos hacer referencia al hecho migratorio de menores de edad y a las consecuencias educativas que derivan de él. En el aspecto que nos ocupa, trataremos de dar una visión de la realidad actual de la migración transfronteriza México-Estados Unidos. Se analizarán las variables que hemos observado, según los perfiles de ni os/as y jóvenes que migran de un país al otro y los procesos de inclusión o exclusión en el sistema educativo, tanto en México, como en el país vecino, así como las dificultades sociales por las que esta infancia en movimiento puede llegar a pasar en ese complejo proceso de cambio y adaptación. Child and youth migration, along with that of the general population, is not an isolated matter of modern-day. In this article we wish to reference the matter of child and youth migration and the educational consequences derived from this. In the matter that concerns us we intend to convey a vision of the current reality of the cross-country migration in the Mexico-United States border. Examining the variables we have observed, according to the profile of children and youths that migrate back and forth from one neighboring country to another along with the process of inclusion into or exclusion out of the educational system both in Mexico as well as in their neighboring country, as well as the social challenges which that this children in transit may face as he confronts this difficult and very complex process of change and adjustment.
