Cuadratura de Polígonos por Disección

The last ten theorems from Book I of the Elements of Euclid turn out to betestimonies of Man’s concern for the transformation of equally-large gures and especially inorder to nd the area of a at gure using a rule and compass. The problem of the quadratureof the circle, for example, held the academic community up until the 17th century when its insolvability was determined. In this article particular cases of quadratures are presented by means of dissection and with the use of innovative theoretical elements in order to establish a general procedure to nd the area of any rectangle without taking into account the value of reason between the longitude of its sides
