JAMES, RORTY, VATTIMO E A RELIGI O PóS-METAFíSICA

Este artigo objetiva fazer a exposi o de algumas das principais reflex es de James, Rorty e Vattimo sobre a religi o, presentes em algumas de suas obras que abordam a quest o religiosa. E, a partir daí, demonstrar uma convergência de caráter pós-metafísico nesses pensadores no que diz respeito à experiência religiosa: no pensamento pragmático de James e Rorty, e no pensamento fraco de Vattimo e sua valoriza o da hermenêutica.The purpose of this article is to show some of the main reflections of James, Rorty and Vattimo on religion, which can be found in some of their works about the religion issue. Then, it's intended to demonstrate a convergence of postmetaphysical character of such thinkers as for the religious question: In the pragmatic thinking of James and Rorty and in the weak Vattimo's thinking and his valuation of hermeneutics.
