A Study on Cloud Computing and its Security IssuesKeywords: Internet cloud , service oriented architecture (SOA) , homomorphic encryption. Abstract: “Cloud computing” was coined for what happens whenservices and applications are propelled into the internet“cloud.” Cloud computing refers to the many different types ofservices and applications being delivered in the internet cloud, and the devices used to access these services and applicationsdo not require any special applications. Advances in serviceoriented architecture (SOA) have brought the world close tothe once imaginary vision of establishing and running a virtualbusiness, a business in which most or all of its businessfunctions are outsourced to online services. Cloud computingoffers a realization of SOA in which IT resources are offeredas services that are more affordable, flexible and attractive tobusinesses. Secure delivery of data to and from the cloud ishowever a serious issue that needs to be addressed. This paperillustrates Cloud Computing architecture, working and servicemodels and exemplifies homomorphic encryption as a solutionfor dealing with these serious security concerns for accessingthe cloud data.
