Abstract:

There are lots of handicaps and elders in the world. Many ofthem are not able to move as easily as normal people. It isuseful if we develop an automatic wheelchair to help themmove more freely. In this paper we proposed a design of smallareaautomatic wheelchair to help handicaps or elders are ableto move easily in a small area. The most concern in this projectis low cost with acceptable performance rather than highvelocity or high accuracy. The main aim of this project is tocontrol the devices and to ask the basic needs like water, foodor medicine by using MEMS (Micro Electro-MechanicalSystems) technology. MEMS is a Sensor which is a highlysensitive sensor and capable of detecting the tilt. This sensorfinds the tilt is to the right side then the device will be on forthe first time then next time it will be off. In the same way, ifthe tilt is to the left side then another device is going to becontrolled. The tilt is in upwards or downward direction therelated need will be announced. This device is very helpful forparalysis and physically challenged persons.
