La reescritura como transgresión en las canciones de Javier Krahe

Javier Krahe is a popular singer-songwriter from Madrid who has been active since the eighties. His songs are characterized by their highly elaborated lyrics, close to poetry both at the thematic and the formal level. This article aims to investigate the parodic rewriting of topics and works his lyrics suggest. Meter is configured in such lyrics as an essential compositional element through which an intertextual dialogue with certain poems occurs. However, the metric structures are not maintained as in the original texts, but transformed and subverted. Components of metrics and, in particular, rhyme, are used as elements of experimentation, renewal and reappropiation of the so called high literature.
