Identitat i postmodernitat: els nous mecanismes identitaris del segle XXI (Identity and postmodernity: new identity mechanisms of the 21th century)

ResumenLa definitiva irrupció de l’era postmoderna ha tingut una projecció més que evident en el camp de les identitats, tant en la seva dimensió individual com ara també en la col·lectiva. Si fins a meitat del segle XX, va ser la solidesa dels Estats-Nació qui s’encarregà de modelar els sentiments identitaris, els darrers decennis han contemplat l’entrada de nous actors susceptibles de condicionar aquest fenomen, com ara les noves tecnologies de la informació i comunicació. L’herència d’aquest nou escenari, ha estat l’aparició d’unes identitats més ambigües i volàtils les quals romanen contínuament influenciades per una multitud de referents.AbstractThe definitive breaking of the Postmodern Era has had an obvious projection in the identity field, both in the individual and colective dimension. Until the middle of the 18th century, it was the solidity of the nation sates that moulded the identity feelings. Last decades have contemplated the entrance of new factors which are senstitive of conditioning the identity phenomenon, such as new technologies of information and communication. The inheritance of this new environment has developed the appearence of more ambiguous and volatile identities which are continually influenced by multiple aspects.
