INHIBITORY STUDY OF ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE ENZYME ACTIVITY BY SOME BILE ACIDS DERIVATIVESKeywords: deoxycholate , lithocholate , compounds concentrations Abstract: This study was undertaken to show the effects of six derivatives of bile acids on the activity of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) in sera. All compounds which were studied, demonstrated inhibitory effects on the enzyme activity and these effects increased with increasing the concentration of the compounds. The compound (6) has the highest ability to inhibit alkaline phosphatase by comparing it with other compounds and the compound (5) has the lowest ability to inhibit alkaline phosphatase by comparing it with other compounds .Kinetic properties of these inhibitors revealed that all compounds cause non- competitive type of inhibition.
