A new approach for the removal of thiosulfate from wastewater by advanced oxidation process (AOP)Keywords: Oxidation , Sodium thiosulfate , Hydrogen peroxide Abstract: In the present work oxidation of sodium thiosulfate in the presence of ultrasonic vibration has been examined using hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Analysis of thiosulfate was carried out by the methylene blue method. Sodium thiosulfate oxidized to sulfate in the presence of ultrasonic vibration. The effect of air flow rate, initial sodium thiosulfate concentration and ultrasonic vibration intensity on the oxidation of sodium sulfide was explored. The rate law equation for the oxidation of thiosulfate was determined from the experimental data.
