Nutritional assessment of a mbyá-guaraní community living in Paraguay: the GuaviramíKeywords: Nutritional assessment , Anthropometry , Food consumption , Ethnic groups , Paraguay. Abstract: Introduction: Intake a proper diet promotes optimalgrowth of children and can maintain a healthy nutritional status in children and adults.Objective: Assess the nutritional status of the MbyáGuarani, Guaviramí community, Paraguay through theanthropometry and the nutritional adequacy of the foodconsumption analysis. Methods: A cross-sectional anthropometric study in106 individuals aged (A) from 1 to 70 years old. Directvariables: Weight (W), Height (H), Arm Circumferenceand subcutaneous skinfolds; Calculated variables:Muscle and Fat Areas and Body Mass Index (BMI). Datawere standardized as percentile values (P) according toa Reference and were organized by percentile intervals,sex and age groups.
