CAPTURA DE Spodopteraeridania USANDO COMO ATRATIVO LUZ FLUORESCENTE

Adults of S. eridania were evaluated for attractiveness of electromagnetic radiation (fluorescent lights). The experiment was conducted in the laboratory and screened at home. In laboratory test, we used an arena with four tubes embedded fluoresnentes lamps and the following: Black Light Bulb (BLBu), Black Light, UVA (UVA-BL), Black Light (BL) and Black Light Blue (BLB). All lamps are attractive to S. eridania. However the highest percentage of capture of adults was found in the BL and BLB lamps (21.1 and 28.9%, respectively). BL and BLB lamps were seleciodas to the test at home screened. In this experiment, we used two light traps model "Luis de Queiroz" equipped with the lamps BL and BLB. The lamps were lit at 19h on and off about 7am. the trap that had been equipped with BLB lamp showed the highest percentage capture of insects. Thus, light traps equipped with BLB bulb may allow the monitoring and control of populations of this pest.Adultos de S. eridania foram avaliados em rela o à atratividade destes por radia o eletromagnética (luzes fluorescentes). O experimento foi realizado em laboratório e em casa telada. No ensaio de laboratório, utilizou-se uma arena com quatro tubos encaixados e as seguintes lampadas fluoresnentes: Black Light Bulb (BLBu), Black Light-UVA (BL-UVA), Black Light(BL) e Black Light Blue(BLB). Todas as lampadas foram atrativas a S. eridania. Contudo, o maior percentual de captura de adultos foi obtido para as lampadas BL e BLB (21,1 e 28,9%, respectivamente). As lampadas BL e BLB foram selecionadas para o teste em casa telada. Neste experimento, utilizaram-se duas armadilhas luminosas modelo “Luís de Queiroz” equipadas com as lampadas BL e BLB. As lampadas foram acesas às 19h e desligadas às 7h, a armadilha que fora equipada com a lampada BLB obteve o maior percentual de captura dos insetos.
