“Análisis lógico y análisis gramatical en Colombia (s. XX): la teoría lingüística de Próspero González Ruiz” [“Logical and Grammatical Analysis in Twentieth-Century Colombia: Próspero González Ruiz's Linguistic Theory”]

The epistemological connection between philosophy and linguistics provides a clear example of the relations and transfers between logical and grammatical analysis in grammatical theory, whoseimpact on language teaching (school grammar) has been shown by critical linguistic historiography. This paper focuses on one of the links in the transfer between logic and grammar –Análisis gramatical y lógico, by the Colombian priest and teacher Próspero González Ruiz(1940)–, showing how philosophical ideas become syntactic concepts.
