POTENCIAL CLIMáTICO PARA A CULTURA DO PINH O MANSO NA MESORREGI O DE RIBEIR O PRETO - SP

The purpose of this work was to evaluate the climatic potencial for physic nut culture in mesoregion of Ribeir o Preto - SP. The study bases on the pluvial precipitation data and on the monthly mean temperatures of seven sites of state S o Paulo (Barretos, Bebedouro, Cristais Paulista, Guaíra, Ituverava, Morro Agudo and Ribeir o Preto) comprising the mesoregion of Ribeir o Preto - SP. The climatological water balance was developed by the Thornthwaite; Mather (1955) method trough the “BHnorm” program in EXCEL charts; by Rolim et al. (1998). The climatics limits used are suit from Duke (1983), Jones; Miller (1991), Saturnino et al. (2005), Toledo et al. (2009),being viable: rainfall (480-2380 mm) and annual temperature mean (18-35°C), ideal: rainfall (625-750 mm) and temperature (30-35°C), restricted by water deficiency: rainfall (< 480 mm) and temperature (18-25°C), restricted by temperature deficiency: rainfall (625-2380 mm) and temperature (<18°C) and inviable: with more than four months with water deficiency and minimium temperatures smaller than -4°C. With this informations, observed that the cities analysed in mesoregion of Ribeir o Preto - SP, showed limited for the Physic nut culture without supplementary irrigation.O objetivo desse trabalho foi verificar se a mesorregi o de Ribeir o Preto - SP apresenta potencial climático para a cultura do pinh o-manso. O estudo se baseou em dados de precipita o e temperatura médias mensais de sete cidades do estado de S o Paulo (Barretos, Bebedouro, Cristais Paulista, Guaíra, Ituverava, Morro Agudo e Ribeir o Preto) que comp em a mesorregi o de Ribeir o Preto - SP. O balan o hídrico climatológico foi elaborado pelo método Thornthwaite; Mather (1955) através do programa “BH norm” em planilha EXCEL por Rolim et al. (1998). Os limites climáticos para determina o do potencial climático para a cultura foram adaptados de Duke (1983), Jones; Miller (1991), Saturnino et al., (2005); Toledo et al., (2009), sendo viável: precipita o (480-2380 mm) e temperatura média anual de (18-35°C), ideal: precipita o (625-750 mm) e temperatura (30-35°C), restrita por deficiência hídrica: precipita o (<480 mm) e temperatura de (18-25°C), restrita por deficiência térmica: precipita o (625-2380 mm) e temperatura (<18°C) e limitada: com mais de quatro meses de deficiência hídrica e temperaturas mínimas menores que -4°C. Com essas informa es observou-se que as cidades analisadas, representativas da mesorregi o de Ribeir o Preto - SP mostraram-se limitadas para a cultura do Pinh o-manso sem uma irriga o complementar.
