CONTRIBUTION TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF LEAF GALLS FROM WESTERN ROMANIA

The present study contains the results of our research on the galls makers that attack the woody species in the urban environment. The presence of a gall-forming arthropods within leaves has been observed on 8 species: Juglans regia, Prunus domestica, Malus domestica, Tilia tomentosa, Alnus glutinosa, Aesculus hippocastanum, Ribes rubrum and Vitis vinifera. We identified a number of 10 gall-forming species. These species belong to 8 different genera, from 5 families and 4 orders. Levels of infestation with Cameraria ohridella are high.
