DIGITAL MAPPING AND MONITORING OF CENTAUREA RUTHENICA SPECIES AT THE BONTIDA-JUCU SITE

This article is a short review about digital mapping and monitoring of a plant species. The plant species chosen for this purpose was Centaurea ruthenica, a very rare forest steppe species in both Romanian and Europe’s flora, being considered a postglacial relict. The monitoring and the data collected for digital mapping was realized at the Bontida-Jucu site of Centaurea ruthenica. The data obtained after monitoring the species for several years were compared with the already existing data in the literature.
