Cubital Tunnel Syndrome Secondary To Anconeus-epitrochlearis Muscle: Case Report. Keywords: Ulnar nerve , flexor carpi ulnaris muscle , muscle variants Abstract: The cubital tunnel syndrome is the most common entrapment neuropathy after carpal tunnel syndrome. While there are several anatomical sites where the ulnar nerve can be compressed, fibrous arch formed by the two heads of insertion of the flexor carpi ulnaris muscle is the place where this compression can be appreciate more often. At this level, there may be rare variants muscle, as anconeus-epitrochlearis muscle. We report a case of ulnar nerve compression secondary to this variant muscle. It was a muscle stretched from the medial epicondyle to the olecranon, crossing superficially and perpendicularly to the ulnar nerve. During surgery were sectioned muscle fibers, watching a compressed ulnar nerve. In the postoperative away, there was a partial improvement of symptoms. The anconeus-epitrochlearis muscle is a variant present between 1 and 40% of cases and it can be associated with ulnar neuropathy.
