Aloca o de Recursos Públicos Destinados a Assistência Hospitalar e Ensino Fundamental nas Capitais Brasileiras

The allocation of public resources has been one of the daily challenges faced by society, because it needs to occur in order to achieve the maximum benefit possible social .. This research aims at analyzing the efficiency of public spending on hospital care and primary education in the State capitals in 2009. We used descriptive research, literature, quantitative and qualitative. Data collection was performed at the STN sites, IBGE, DATASUS, MEC and System FIRJAN. The results revealed that average spending on hospital care amounted to R $ R $ 403,151,579.13, being the capital Macapá with lower allocation of funds for this subfunction and Sao Paulo that with greater allocation of resources. It was further observed that expenditure on primary education were on average R $ 376,799,800.62. S o Paulo is the capital with the highest allocation of funds to elementary and Boa Vista which allocated fewer resources in 2009. We conclude that among the 22 capitals analyzed four of them (Florianopolis, Joao Pessoa, S o Paulo and Macapa) were effective with respect to spending on hospital care and 6 of them (Boa Vista, Manaus, Porto Velho, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and S o Paul) were efficient as the application of basic education spending.
