ROMANIA'S EU ACCESSION. GAINS AND LOSSES (II)Keywords: bilateral agreement , comparative advantage , international trade , EU accession , EU integration Abstract: This paper is a continuation of "Romania's EU accession. Gains and losses (I)" where we have been presented statistics on Romania's trade with major trading partners to whom, before, or after EU accession, the legal status has changed. In this paper we try to identify the benefits and costs of accession to the EU in terms of trade. In the first part we analyze the dynamics of trade with new partners, resulting from the accession. The last part is devoted to conclusions. The main idea that emerges from this work is that, unfortunately, Romania governors, did not know to take advantage of the opening to the biggest economic market although the financial and institutional support offered by the EU.
