Una experiencia colombiana en psicología industrial

The article has a double objective: on one hand to discover the present situation of psychology of work in Colombia, and on the other hand to present a concrete case of activities in this field during a period of three years. In the first part description is made of the present status of industrial psychology from the following points of view: training provided by the Universlty, possibilities in the employment market, management,development of applied research. In the second part, description is made of the activities of a psychologist during a period of three years in a service training entity (SENA). Within an environment where industrial psychology is not well known, the progressive change of attitudes of non-psychologist professionals towards the psychologist and psychology is underlined. In the same way, mention ls msde of the progressive wldening of the psychologist′s range of action until he become, an accepted and necessary member wlthin the work of the entity. In general terms, this experience reveals the process presently lived in the country in relation to this field of applied Psychology; dlfficulties and deficiencies are being partly overcome, allowing to foresee for a near future, a greater development of industrial psychology in Colombia.
