SECURITY ON THE CLOUD- A ReviewKeywords: Cloud Computing , Data , Encryption , Fully Homomorphic Encryption , Security Abstract: Cloud computing is, through use of the Internet, the sharing of data, programs and other computer resources. In essence, cloud computing simplifies security issues for users by outsourcing them to another party, one that is supposed to be highly skilled at dealing with them [1]. However, cloud computers are susceptible to multiple vulnerabilities. In order for cloud computing to become an effective, integral part of business and consumer operation, greater security measures must be implemented in order to protect the end user’s data. Our paper will discuss the technologies being developed to combat these vulnerabilities, such as fully homomorphic decryption, and will then evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of these technologies. These security measures will make cloud computing a more reliable computing platform for business and the consumer market, and will increase the efficiency of computing as a whole.
