Between pests and pesticides. Experience in teaching practice of secondary educationKeywords: pesticides , educational intervention , health , education Abstract: In the province of Cordoba, Argentina, at the rate of expansion of agricultural area has increased the use of agrochemicals, therefore a high percentage of the human population is really or potentially in contact with these substances directly in work activities or involuntarily, leading to an increased risk of diseases associated with exposure. Consequently it is considered important to have a real dimension of the problem of the use and effects of pesticides in localities where its application and use it often to make an educational intervention using methodologies with active participation of the community as a whole.On this basis, the following aims to enable people to appropriate subject matter and begin to take collective action and reflection, from everyday life, about the size of the problem of pesticide pollution and its harmful effects on the population health. The educational intervention strategy was realized with the development of outreach materials and conducting a workshop. It is considered that the results of the implemented strategy show a new approach to the problem addressed which showed the same deficit in the curricular desing of secondary education. For its part, the educational intervention community offers application possibilities with a wide range and level of health promotion. In conclusion, addressing the problems at school and through direct intervention with young people can expand and strategically disseminate awareness action on the responsible use of pesticides, thus promoting behavior change.
