Test Stroopa – warto diagnostyczna w psychiatrii

The aim of this paper is to enclose the Stroop test andinterference effect in current neuroimaging data context.The Stroop test is popular used in psychiatric andneurological diagnosis and in researches with cognitivestimulation. The performance of Stroop test during neuroimagingis associated with activation of prefrontal cortexand cingulate cortex, and also other structures, suchas basal ganglia and cerebellum. The important differencesin this term between healthy subjects and personssuffering from psychiatrics diseases, such as schizophrenia,affective disorders, obsessive compulsive disorderwere shown. In these illnesses abnormal performance onStroop test were detected, which is connected especiallywith abnormal activation of prefrontal and cingulatedcortex.
