Abstract:

The defected ground structure (DGS) is one suchtechnique whichwereintentionally modified toenhance the performance of the ground planemetal of a microstrip circuit. Importantly, inmicrowave application, the DGS plays an importantrole in analyzing the effect of surface and leakywaves.Tthe time ofPractical verification, thesurface and leaky waves are affected by thepropagationerrorssothe performance of microstripcircuit is also affected. So, proper mathematicalmodel is needed forjustifyingthe propagationuncertainty of DGS and to improve the performance.In this paper, the curve fittingmathematical modelisusedfor analyzing thepropagation uncertainty. Intheusedmodel, thebi-segmentation process isapplied to the experimental characteristics. Theproposed curve fitting model isimplemented and theCross Dumbbell Periodic defected ground structurepropagation uncertainties are analyzed.
