Opinion Mining and Sentiment Analysis - An Assessment of Peoples' Belief: A Survey

Opinion Mining is a process of automatic extractionof knowledge from the opinion of others about someparticular topic or problem. The idea of Opinion mining and Sentiment Analysis tool is to “process a setof search results for a given item, generating a list of product attributes (quality, features etc.) andaggregating opinion”. But with the passage of timemore interesting applications and developmentscame into existence in this area and now its main goal is to make computer able to recognize andgenerate emotions like human. This paper will try to focus on the basic definitions of Opinion Mining,analysis of linguistic resources required for Opinion Mining, few machine learning techniques on thebasis of their usage and importance for the analysis, evaluation of Sentiment classifications and itsvarious applications
