Modeling and Simulation on Double Delta WingKeywords: Double delta wing , Flow visualization , CFD Simulation , RANS Abstract: Thesurface flowpatternon the upper surface of adouble delta wing has been studied experimentallyusing oil flow visualization technique at subsoniccondition.Surface flow visualizationshave beenperformed on a sharp edged single beveled 76°-40°double delta wing for 5°, 10° and 15° angle ofattack (AoA) at a free stream Reynolds number of2×105based on the root chord length of the wingmodel. Subsequently CFD (computational fluiddynamics) analysis is carried out using CFD codeAnsys Fluent. The computational domain is meshedwithunstructured gridsand Reynolds AveragedNavier Stokes (RANS) based steady state CFDsimulations are carried out. The experimental andcomputational results are compared in thecontextof surface flow pattern.
