Las bondades del sistema de representación proporcional Benefits of the system of proportional representation

Actualmente, en México existe un constante debate sobre la efectividad del sistema de representación proporcional, pocos lo ven como la forma de garantizar la pluralidad en el Congreso de la Unión, a fin de que el voto de todos los ciudadanos se encuentre debidamente representado. En el texto se explican las implicaciones del sistema de representación proporcional, así como la aplicación del mismo en México; se destacan las bondades de la representación proporcional y, a manera de conclusión, se proponen algunas figuras a través de las cuales se podría fortalecer la representación proporcional y generar un mayor vínculo entre representantes y ciudadanos. Currently in Mexico there is a constant debate about the effectiveness of the system of proportional representation; few see it as the way to ensure plurality in Congress, so that the votes of all citizens are properly represented. The text explains the implications of the proportional representation system and its application in Mexico, highlights the benefits of proportional representation and, in conclusion, we propose some figures through which they could not strengthen proportional representation and create a bond stronger link between representatives and citizens.
