ROLE OF WOMEN IN ECONOMY: A CASE STUDY OF 39 NO. GOAN PANCHAYAT UNDER NORTH-WEST DEVELOPMENT BLOCK, JORHAT

It is irrefutable to say that, in present society women plays a vital role in economic activities. Educational and Vocational training have enabled them to seek jobs and become economically independent. In this article, the authors have made a noble endeavor to focus that at present, women are not only wage earners or salaried employees in the economic field but they have turned up to be owners of properties, managers and proprietors in business and directors of companies which were once meant “Exclusively for men”.
