On the Mathematical Modelling of Microbial Growth

We propose a new approach to mathematical modelling of microbial growth different to the approaches used in Jacob-Monod type models. Such an approach may be useful in the modelling of biotechnological processes, where microorganisms are used for various biodegradation purposes and are often put under extreme unfavourable conditions, such as prolonged depletion or excess of nutrients.
