The military-technical aspect in activities of Kharkiv aviation plant (60-s – 80-s of XX century)

The article examines the main trends in military programs implemented in Kharkiv aviation plant. The issue of creation of military models of the passenger aircrafts Tu-124 and Tu-134, production of Tu-141 drones, cruise missiles Ch-55 and light military transport aircraft An-72 at this enterprise is described. It is shown that production of military equipment was taking a significant share in total production of Kharkiv aviation plant (Kharkiv Aviation Production Association) in 1960-1980. The analysis is based mainly on published materials and can be further studied in relevant archives.
