Hypoplasia of right hemispheric white matter associated with enlarged lateral ventricleKeywords: neuroanatomy , white matter , variation , lateral ventricle , right hemisphere Abstract: Hypoplasia of white matter in the right hemisphere of cerebrum was observed during routine dissection forundergraduate medical students. The lateral ventricle on that half was enlarged and the enlargement was associated with a very thin layer of corpus callosum forming the roof of the lateral ventricles. The cavity oflateral ventricle also showed a few septa traversing through it. The interventricular foramen was enlarged. The left hemisphere did not have any abnormalities in its ventricle.
