LESIONES PULPARES Y PERIAPICALES EN ESCOLARES DEL AREA DE ATENCION DEL POLICLINICO DOCENTE DE PLAYA. CIUDAD DE LA HABANA PULPAR AND PERIAPICAL LESIONS IN SCHOLARS OF THE DOCENTE PLAYA AREA OF ATTENTION

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo conocer la incidencia de las lesiones pulpares y periapicales y sus causas en escolares de la ense anza primaria del área del Policlínico Docente de Playa. La referida investigación es de tipo observacional descriptiva. La población estudiada fue de 1 137 alumnos entre 4 y 12 a os de edad, a la cual se le realizó un examen bucal para determinar la presencia de patologías pulpares y periapicales, y su relación con algunas variables clínicas. Resultó que 5.2 % de los examinados estaban afectados por dichas lesiones. Las lesiones periapicales predominaron sobre las pulpares. La localización de las patologías predominó en la mandíbula posterior (53.8%). Las principales causas fueron: la caries dental en 64.6 %, con obturaciones deficientes 18.6 %, y los traumas con 16.8 %. The object of this research is to know the incidence of the dental pulp and periapical damages. Which one has more incidence and its causes sum the students of the primary education in the area of the Policlínico Docente de Playa. The research is classified like descriptive observational. The sample studied was 1137 students with ages between 4 and 12 years old, which were examined to determine the presence of dental pulp and periapical pathologies and its relationship with other clinical variables. 5.2% of the children examined were affected by such lesions.
